Our Story
This Is My Story. And Grace Is What Changed It.
From Houston to Dallas. From corporate to calling. From uncertainty to purpose. Here is how Saved by His Grace came to be.
The Beginning
Hi, I'm Ashley, the founder of Saved by His Grace. This brand was born out of a season in my life when everything felt uncertain. I was in a place of change, praying constantly, asking God for clarity, direction, and a sign that I wasn't walking alone. If you've ever been in that place, the in-between, the not-yet, then you already know the beginning of this story.
The Verse
One day, while I was out on a walk, my phone lit up with a verse of the day notification. It was Ephesians 4:22–24, a reminder to put off your old self, to be made new in the attitude of your mind, and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. That moment stopped me. It was the exact reassurance I had been begging God for. That Scripture has stayed with me ever since, and I return to it whenever I need grounding, courage, or a reminder of who I am in Christ. It became a turning point; the moment I realized God wasn't just hearing me. He was guiding me.
"You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness."
— Ephesians 4:22–24 (NIV)
Roots & Family
I was born in Houston, Texas, and now call Dallas home, a city that has become home in every sense of the word. I am blessed with an amazing family who mean the world to me and have shaped so much who I am today. Their support, love, and encouragement have been a constant source of strength throughout my journey, and they are woven into every decision I have made to get here.
The Corporate Chapter
For years, my friends and family encouraged me to start my own business. I was always creating hats, shirts, sweaters, cups, DIY gifts, little things that brought people joy. But I never imagined it would become something more. I spent 18.5 years in the corporate world in recruiting. I was grateful for that season. It taught me about people, persistence, and purpose. But slowly, I began to feel a shift in my spirit, a quiet, steady nudge that something new was coming.
The Calling
Over the months that followed, God kept whispering that my time in that world was coming to an end. And instead of fear, I felt something unexpected: excitement. A sense of anticipation, even though I didn't yet know what He was preparing me for. I waited. I prayed. I paid attention. And slowly, the signs became clear. God was leading me here.
Creating & Faith
Creating has always been part of who I am. And sharing my faith has become an even deeper part of my identity as I have grown spiritually. Saved by His Grace is where those two pieces of my life finally meet. This brand is my way of helping people feel closer to God and to the purpose He has for their lives, one design at a time, one conversation at a time, one moment at a time.
What Grace Means
To me, Saved by His Grace is a reminder that God's love isn't limited by who we are, where we come from, what we've done, or what we look like. His grace is for everyone, freely given, always available, and powerful enough to transform any life that is willing to ask and believe. Grace doesn't require perfection. It doesn't require a certain background or a polished testimony. It just requires a willing heart.
Who Jesus Walked With
Jesus didn't spend His time with the "cool kids." He walked with the overlooked, the imperfect, the ones who didn't quite fit in. And like so many people out there, I was one of those "not so cool" kids. My journey with Jesus hasn't always been easy. But every time I choose His way over my own, I come out stronger, wiser, and more aligned with who He created me to be. That is the testimony I carry, and it's the reason this brand exists.
A Prayer for Every Customer
When someone wears a piece from Saved by His Grace, my prayer is that they feel confident, comfortable, and completely themselves. I want the clothing to feel effortless, something you can wear anywhere, knowing it reflects who you are and who you belong to. But more than that, I hope each design becomes a conversation starter. I pray it draws people in, not to me, not to the brand, but to you. To your story. To your faith. To the testimony God has written in your life.
If a simple moment can turn into something meaningful, a chance to share what God has done for you, a chance to plant a seed, a chance to help someone take one step closer to Jesus, then this brand is doing exactly what God created it for.
The Giving Commitment
A core part of this mission is generosity. That is why I have committed to donating 10% of the company's earnings each quarter to a foundation that aligns with the heart of this brand, helping people grow, heal, and move closer to the purpose God has for their lives. This isn't just a business decision. It is an act of obedience, gratitude, and stewardship. God has given me this opportunity, and I want to use it to pour back into others.
Thank You
Saved by His Grace is more than apparel. It is a testimony. It is a calling, it is a reminder that grace is for all of us, the broken, the searching, the unsure, the growing. My hope is that through these designs, people are drawn closer to Him and to the purpose He has for their lives.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for supporting this mission. And thank you for being part of a story that is so much bigger than mine.
With love and gratitude,
Ashley — Founder, Saved by His Grace
